Este artigo aborda a prática de financiamento coletivo – sistema no qual idealizadores de projetos expõem suas propostas em sites específicos buscando contribuições financeiras para viabilizá-los –, problematizando sua articulação com a lógica capitalista neoliberal. Concepções de Michel Foucault acerca das relações de saber-poder e sobre o neoliberalismo são utilizadas para as reflexões. Focalizamos três aspectos, que de modo inter-relacionado, atravessam essa prática, engendrando modos de ser, conhecer e fazer: a convocação ao empreendedorismo, o incitamento à inovação e os mecanismos de visibilização. Trazemos excertos de textos presentes no site Catarse para discutir, entre outras questões, as relações entre capital humano e redes sociais na internet, consumo, mercantilização e participação cidadã, aberturas e contradições que esse sistema coloca em jogo. Concluímos que o sistema crowdfunding abre espaço para novas possibilidades de existência, mas não deixa de estabelecer modulações características do sistema neoliberal ao qual está atravessado, instituindo limitações às subjetividades.This article approaches the practice of crowdfunding – system in which people who create projects expose their proposals on specific sites seeking financial contributions to enable them – discussing its articulation with the neoliberal capitalist logic. Michel Foucault’s conceptions about relations of power-knowledge and neoliberalism are used to support the reflections. We focus on three aspects, interrelated, which pervade this practice, engendering ways of being, knowing and doing: the call for entrepreneurship, the demand for innovation and the visualization mechanisms. We use excerpts from texts present on the site Cartase to discuss, among other issues; the relationship and tension between human capital and social networks on the internet, consumption, commodification and citizen participation, openness and contradictions that this system implies. We conclude that the system of crowdfunding opens space to new opportunities of project-financing. However, it still frames itself in the neoliberal parameters where it is immersed, establishing, thus, limitations to the subjectivity
