Interdisciplinarity as solidarity : challenge to teachers’ education

Abstract

Neste artigo propomo-nos a refletir sobre a viabilidade de um trabalho interdisciplinar no curso de Pedagogia, a partir de uma experiência que vimos realizando desde 1998, com as disciplinas Sociologia, História, Filosofia – da Educação – e Metodologia da Pesquisa II, na Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. O objetivo é averiguar que desafios estão colocados para uma prática interdisciplinar nos cursos de formação de professores. A experiência permite-nos pensar o ensino, a pesquisa e a extensão, articulados em uma perspectiva interdisciplinar, no que diz respeito tanto à reconstrução da teoria que sustenta a experiência, quanto à possibilidade de infundir vida, atualidade e concretude a essa teoria.In this paper we propose to examine the viability of interdisciplinary work throughout the Pedagogy course, taking as reference an experiment that we have been carrying out since 1998 with subjects such as Sociology, History, Philosophy of Education and Methodology of Research II, at the Faculty of Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The objective is to investigate what challenges we can identify in an interdisciplinary practice applied to the undergraduate programs for teachers. Our experience allows us to see teaching, research and extension, articulated in an interdisciplinary perspective, in relation to both a reconstruction of the theory that affirms the experience and to the possibility of introducing life, the present and reality to this theory
