Canadian housing policy research -- some initial impressions

Abstract

An essay on "the state of the art" of policy-related housing research in Canada. Major areas covered include household formation, residential mobility, affordability, housing quality, and rent control. The author was a member of the housing policy review team which advised the British Government in 1976-77, and his essay is written from the perspective thus gained.
