Penatalaksanaan Fisioterapi pada Lumbal Spinal Stenosis di Rumah Sakit Ortopedi Prof. Dr. R Soeharso Surakarta

Abstract

Lumbar Spinal Stenosis is a condition in which the narrowing of the spinal canal or intervertebral foramen caused by intervertebral discs, herniation, hypertrophy of the ligamentum flavum, hypertrophy of the facet joint, spondylolisthesis, osteophytes resulting in back pain, foot and a decrease in walking ability. Modality given lumbar traction, core stability and lumbar flexion exercise. To determine the implementation of physiotherapy in reducing pain, increasing range of motion, increasing muscle strength, and increasing functional ability and activity environmental. After 3 times of therapy, the result of decreased silent pain T1: 0 to T3: 0, tenderness T1: 4.5 to T3: 3.6, painful motion T1: 5 to T3: 3.5. Increasing range of lumbar motion moves in flexion T1: 3 cm to T3: 6 cm, in extension T1: 1 cm to T3: 3 cm, in side flexion dextra T1: 20 cm to T3: 23 cm, side flexion sinistra T1: 20 cm to T3: 24 cm. Increasing strength muscle of flexion trunk T1: 3 to T3: 4, extension trunk T1: 3 to T3: 4. For functional abilities and environmental activities there was an increase in T1: 48.8% to T3: 37.7%. Lumbar traction andexercise therapy can reduce pain, increase the scope of motion ofthe joints, increase muscle strength, and improve functional ability and activity environment
