“ RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE MESTRUATION WITH DYSMENORRHEA “

Background: Adolescence is a developmental phases of children into adulthood. At this stage, every woman will experience menstruation. Some women who experience period will be pain, called dysmenorrhea. Knowledge about reproductive health or knowledge about menstruation should be given since the first time she experienced menstruation. Given the state of society is still taboo in discussing the problems of menstruation. It aims to prepare women in the face of menstrual periods and handles dysmenorrhea primarily well. In adolescents who get less information also feared less able to adapt to the growth and development experienced.
Research Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge concerning women with dysmenorrhea.
Research Methods: This type of research uses observational research with quantitative methods via questionnaire. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling of respondents who met the inclusion criteria as many as 100 people. For respondents who experience dysmenorrhea or not to conduct interviews.
Results of Research: Based on analysis Chi-square showed that p-value = 0.019 <Levelof Significant = 0.05.
Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between knowledge about menstruation with dysmenorrhea
