Eksperimen Pembelajaran Matematika Dengan Model Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) Dan Direct Instruction (DI) Terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Ditinjau Dari Tingkat Motivasi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Al-Abidin Surakarta

Abstract

The aim of this research was to know: (1) differences in the effect of the use of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) and Direct Instruction (DI) learning model on mathematics learning outcomes. (2) differences in the effect of student’s motivation level on mathematics learning outcomes. (3) The interaction effect between learning model and student’s motivation on mathematics learning outcomes. Type of this research was quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. Population in this research was all of VIII class students of SMP Islam Al Abidin Surakarta, with samples of this research was student of VIII F and VIII E class. Data collection technique used test, questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique used two-way analysis of variance with different cells with analysis results with 5% significance level. Based on the data analysis obtained results that: (1) there is different effect of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) and Direct Instruction (DI) learning model on mathematics learning outcomes, where Auditory Intellectually Repetition is better than Direct Instruction on learning outcomes. (2) there is different effect of student’s motivation on mathematics learning outcomes, where student with high motivation level is better than student with low motivation level. (3) there is no interaction effect between learning model and student’s motivation level on mathematics learning outcomes.
