La Cova 120, parada de caçadors recol·lectors del Paleolític mitjà

Abstract

In this study the fourth and fifth strata of cave 120 will be analysed corresponding to the occupation of the cave as a refugeby groups of hunters-gatherers during the archaic phase of the Middle Paleolithic. The most usual technical process of thelithic industry ofthese groups was the production of tools out of fragments of quartz, the scraper being the most representativemorphotype. During these occupations Cepaea nemoralis was used for human consumptionEn aquest estudi s'analitzen la quarta i cinquena capes de la cova 120 corresponent a l'ocupació de la cova com a refugi per grups de caçadors - recol·lectors durant la fase arcaica del Paleolític Mitjà. El procés tècnic més habitual de la indústria lítica d'aquests grups va ser la producció d'eines amb fragments de quars, essent el morfotipus més representat el raspador.
