COMMUNICATION IN THE CONTEXT  
OF CONTRADICTIONS OF CULTURE

The main point of my paper is that one of the ways to better understand human 
communication is contradiction. In my paper I will present some important 
contradictions that can be found in philosophy and religion (in Nietzsche and 
christianity among others). Persistence of contradictions, particularly of 
unconcious ones, is the source of difficulties of communication as it creates 
misunderstandings and an atmosphere of distrust. My paper will present a 
philosophical stance that will be trying to give an adequate response to this 
situation.  
Contradictions can be found not only in texts but also in human behaviour itself. 
One of the most shocking one is the contradiction between social nature of humans 
and their tendency to behave in an egocentric manner. In my paper I would like to 
discuss philosophical and spiritual basis for diminishing the latter tendency. It 
would be the purpose of my paper to search for a philosophy and a spirituality that 
would help to communicate less egocentrically.
