Teenagers, especially teenage girls, are the persons whose life-course is very
strong affected by the birth of a child. The article presents how teenage girls’
fertility was changed during the last 4 decades in Poland. Generally, fertility of
girls (19 and less) decreased. At the same time several unfavourable phenomena
