Japanese ¯rms consider risk management asinsurance management. However, the future risk management should beto control, manage and ¯nance risks, if needed, as a result of carefulrisk analysis and the impact studies on their ¯nancials. American ¯rmshave developed their risk management to the level of actively managingrisks and then to Enterprise Risk Management.
