The quarantine to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 caused the suspension of shared childcare and communication regimes. This measure intensified the inequity in the distribution of domestic responsibilities, which are assumed mainly by women. The article highlights the opportunity provided by the coronavirus to reflect on the persistence of gender stereotypes and their dreadful consequences in the context of the pandemic
