La salud bucal es un fuerte indicador socioeconómico y conductual que puede ser considerado al estudiar desigualdades en cuidados de salud. Se plantea que la salud y la enfermedad no pueden ser analizadas fuera del entorno en que vive el individuo, no son casos clínicos aislados.Se realizó un estudio epidemiológico considerando el perfil, afluencia y distribución de los pacientes que concurren al SEPOI de la Facultad de Odontología de la UNLP durante el periodo febrero-julio 2019, identificando variables como lugar de residencia. La población fueron los pacientes que concurrieron al SEPOI. La muestra fue obtenida al azar, siendo la mayoría de los mismos provenientes de la provincia de Buenos Aires, y dentro de ésta de Florencio Varela. Conclusión: la incidencia de la localidad de Florencio Varela fue muy alta, ya sea por su proximidad a la ciudad de La Plata o por encontrar en un mismo lugar la posibilidad de atención integral.Oral health is a strong socioeconomic and behavioral indicator that can be considered when studying health care inequalities. It is argued that health and disease cannot be analyzed outside the environment in which the individual lives, they are not isolated clinical cases. An epidemiological study was conducted considering the profile, influx and distribution of patients attending the SEPOI of the Faculty of UNLP dentistry during the February-July 2019 period, identifying variables as place of residence. The population was the patients who attended the SEPOI. The sample was obtained at random, with most of them coming from the province of Buenos Aires, and within this one of Florencio Varela. Conclusion: the incidence of the town of Florencio Varela was very high, either due to its proximity to the city of La Plata or to find in the same place the possibility of comprehensive care.Facultad de Odontologí
