In his article the author presents different interpretations of the difference and of the passage from modernity to postmodernity and from modernism to postmodernism. He presents the theories of Charles Jencks, Jean-François Lyotard, Jürgen Habermas and some others. In his opinion the majority of the interpretations which found modernism and postmodernism incompatible, stemmed from philosophical positions best embodied by Habermas and Lyotard.Avtor v svojem članku obravnava različne interpretacije razlike in prehoda med modernostjo in post modernostjo in s tem med modernizmom in postmodernizmom. Prikaže teorijo Charlesa Jencksa, J.-F. Lyotarda, J. Habermasa ter nekatere druge. Po njegovem mnenju je večina izključujočih se določb odnosa med modernizmom in postmodernizmom izvirala iz filozofskih razlik, ki jih najbolje utelešata Habermas in Lyotard
