Abstract

Financial management is an important instrument for the corporate restructuring. The object of this research are micro and small wood industries operated in Jogjakarta Special Province. This research found that the micro and small wood industries facing the vulnerability in their business sustainability, caused by weak financial management system. At the other side, the wood industry involves large number of local labor, who depend on this sector as main family income. It means that providing jobs for local community is one of the social contribution of wood industries. The un-sustainability of wood industry could be a significant threat for local community. To minimize the un-sustainability threat, the wood industries should implement a good financial management system. Corporate sustainability is not only for the benefit of entrepreneur, but also for the benefit of the local community. This research is a descriptive research which captures social phenomena
