Kravets Dmitro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University  MODERN WAYS OF SOLVING BASIC ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS  With the increasing scale of human economic activity, rapid scientific and technological development the negative impact on the environment has increased, which in turn, has led to a disruption of environmental security state on the planet. In this regard, it was not only necessary to influence the situation as a whole, but also to develop and use environmental means to preserve the ecology. The purpose of the research is to analyze the factors that have a negative impact on both the life of the individual and the environment, as well as suggest methods that can help escape these problems.  Nowadays, there is a serious environmental crisis and its main feature is that all man-made impacts have a significant connection with natural processes, they are weakened or exacerbated by them. Ecologists identify four major groups of causes that have the greatest influence on nature and which, from their point of view, have led to a global environmental crisis. They include the horrific environmental pollution, waste, improper disposal and recycling; high levels of exhaust emissions leading to air pollution; the increasing of economic growth has a paramount importance and will be achieved at any cost; growing of global population and urbanizing using of technologies that maximize the consumption of natural resources. The rapid population growth, in turn, has led to an overuse of natural resources, which as a consequence has threatened another world crisis - the energy one. It is only a matter of time when the resources that our planet is endowed with are running out and that is why it is necessary to develop and provide an alternative [1].  In connection with all of the above mentioned, which represent the environmental security of our planet, the following ways are proposed to help reduce or eliminate the environmental crisis: - rationalization and optimization of nature management. It is extremely important to use natural resources properly and carefully; - restriction and greening of economic activity. It means the reproduction of natural resources through the improvement of technology, the organization of material production, improving the efficiency of work in the environmental field; - improvement of environmental legislation. It includes the development and implementation the state-of-the-art rules and laws that will protect the environment of our planet; - minimalisation of negative impact on nature. First of all, speaking of restoration of already destroyed ecology, it is necessary to stop the process of destruction as soon as possible [2]. 117  The ecological security of our planet today is extremely important and dangerous both for each individual and for all of humanity as a whole. Today, the main problem that is given special attention is air pollution by humans. After all, the basic environment for the existence of all living things, including man – is atmospheric air. Every day a person builds new factories, power plants, cuts down “lungs of the planets” – forests, which leads to a decrease in oxygen release, reduction of fauna and flora. This has a negative impact on nature and leads to its pollution. Objectives. The basic objectives of this research are:  to identify the main ways of air pollution;  to give some tips for improving the present environmental situation. Presenting main material. Humanity is trying to meet its own needs, adversely affects and changes the composition and properties of atmospheric air. Today, the air contains a catastrophically large amount of harmful impurities that we inhale every day. Air pollution mortality rates are rising rapidly in the world. According to the results of an international study, Ukraine has become the 9th country with the highest mortality due to air pollution. According to statistics, every 918th Ukrainian is killed every year. One of the main pollutants is industrial enterprises with outdated technologies. When producing products, they emit dust, soot, various chemical compounds into the atmosphere. Energy and industry account for the largest percentage of all pollutants in Ukraine – over 60%. The exhaust gases of cars, which are now overcrowded our cities, are also highly poisonous. In Kiev, vehicles account for almost 90% of all hazardous emissions. These gases accumulate in the air and mix with the smog-forming mist. The poisonous fog creeps across the earth and enters the human respiratory system causing dangerous health broblems.  Today it is impossible to imagine our life without electricity, but at the same time, its irrational use is a bad joke – it leads to the destruction of the biosphere. A person burns 30 million tons tons of different fuels (coal, natural gas, etc.) with high content of sulfur, heavy metals, and mercury to produce electricity for his needs. Power plants that do not have adequate cleaning equipment exceed 40 times the emissions of harmful substances of the permitted European standards. Due to this, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere. Its number is gradually increasing and it begins to act around the planet as a greenhouse, leading to an increase in air temperature throughout the Earth. Today it is the first alarming sign of global warming, and therefore climate change across the our planet.  Conclusions. Polluted air is a threat to all living organisms. So, to solve environmental air pollution problems caused by human, it is necessary to:  Industrial enterprises with outdated technologies should be modernized and replaced with non-waste or low-waste production, using environmental filters;   to introduce more stringent new environmental standards for the permissible content of harmful emissions from the enterprise into the atmosphere;
