Prenatal Dönemlerinde Sigara Dumanına Maruz Bırakılan Fare Overlerinin Gelişimlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Cigarette smoke contains more than 4000 chemicals with toxic and carcinogenic effects. It reduces ovarian follicle reserve and implantation potential thus acting negatively on reproductive system. The aim of this study is to observe the ovaries of mice that were exposed to cigarette smoke during their intrauterin period. Their ovarian tissues were inspected at 5, 6 and 7 postnatal weeks by light and electron microscopy to discuss the damage related to the reproductive system at puberty
