Los establecimientos que prestan el servicio de educación, en cualquiera de sus niveles, están controlados por el Ministerio de Educación Nacional, incluyendo el control en la determinación de tarifas anuales, por tanto, se hace difícil implementar cambios significativos que favorezcan la institución -- Se requiere un análisis profundo de todos los factores que intervienen en la estructura de gastos, con el fin de realizar una planeación a largo plazo que permita adelantarse a las necesidades de los diferentes niveles de formación (preescolar, básica primaria, básica secundaria y media) -- La Congregación de los Hermanos de Las Escuelas Cristianas presta el servicio de educación en nueve colegios, distribuidos en diferentes ciudades (Barranquilla, Montería, Turbo, Pereira, Bello, Envigado y Medellín), que ofrecen los cuatro niveles mencionados anteriormente -- En la actualidad, La Congregación tiene establecida una estructura de ingresos y gastos relacionados con la operación, pero no tiene clara una estructura de costos que le permita tomar decisiones estratégicas para el largo plazo -- Este trabajo busca proponer una estructura de costos, acorde con la realidad de La Congregación, que le permita tomar decisiones a través de su análisis, que además le aporten valor y busque, no sólo prestar un servicio de educación de calidad, sino también la sostenibilidad de los planteles educativos a través de la determinación de los costos relacionados con dicho servicio, el costo de un estudiante por nivel de formación académica y, en lo posible, determinar el punto de equilibrio para el colegioEducational Institutions and all its levels, are controlled by the Ministry of Education, including control in the establishment of annual fees -- In that sense, it is difficult to implement significant changes for the benefit of the institution -- For this reason, a wide and well-structured analysis of the cost structure is required for long -term planning which allows the organization to anticipate for the different needs and demands in all the educational levels (Preschool, primary and high school) -- The Congregation of Christian Brothers Schools provides education in nine schools, distributed in different cities (Barranquilla, Monteria, Turbo, Pereira, Bello, Envigado and Medellin), which offer the levels mentioned above -- The Congregation currently has an income and expenses structure for its operation, but it does not have a clear cost structure that allows them to make strategic decisions for a long-term planning -- This document is aimed to provide a costs structure for the reality of the congregation which facilitates decision making through a well-structured analysis and contributes to create value and seeks to provide education with high quality standards and by including sustainable practices in all the educational institutions by determining costs in all of its operations, the cost per student at different levels and calculating a breakeven point for the schoo
