En el presente trabajo se estudia la osteoartropatía que presentan 25
pacientes alcohólicos crónicos, valorándola tanto a nivel clínico como radiológico.
Se observa en ellos que existen alteraciones metabólicas y neuroló-
gicas que pueden justificar esta osteoartropatía. Sin embargo, en algunos
casos no se ha podido demostrar alteración neurológica por lo que habría
que justificar la osteoartropatía únicamente por vía metabólica.
No parece existir relación entre el grado de lesión neurológica y/o metabólica
y la lesión radiológica, ni tampoco se relaciona ésta con la cantidad
de alcohol consumido.25 patients with chronic alcoholism are colected by the authors.
They studied the osteoarthropathy from a clinical and
radiological point of view. Some metabolic and neurologic alterations
have been found, that it justify this osteoarthropathy.
However, in some cases they couldn't prove neurologic alterations
and by that, it would have to justify the osteoarthropathy only for
the metabolic findings.
There are not relation between the grade of neurologic and/or
metabolic injury and the radiologic alteration, as well as the
relation with quantity of alcohol consumed
