Abstract

The architectural production of Italian architects in Spain has been a constant along History due to political, social and, above all, cultural factors. This architectural heritage, not very often studied as a whole and frequently ignored in many aspects, is a main part of Spanish architectural patrimony. The article pretends to offer a panoramic view of the work done by Italian architects in Spain from the 19th century until nowadays, as well as to pay attention to the relations between them and the different historical contexts
