Abstract
El artículo analiza el recorrido histórico de la fortaleza santiaguista de Mérida, así como su proceso en diferentes fases históricas.
Analiza la estructura de sus elementos defensivos, la describe a fines del siglo XV y cuenta la visita que hace la Orden de Santiago. Finalmente se convierte en Convento de esta Orden.The article analyzes the historical way of the Santiago fortress of Mérida, as well as its process in different historical phases.
