Latín y romance en Pedro Juan Núñez: su uso en la enseñanza del arte epistolar

Abstract

La teoría del arte epistolar de Pedro Juan Núñez se halla impresa en su Ratio breuis et expedita conscribendi genera epistolarum illustriora. Ex dictatis P. Iohan. Nunnesii Valentini (Zaragoza, 1596 y Valencia, 1607). En su obra manuscrita, sin embargo, dedica una mayor atención y extensión tanto a la teoría como a los modelos, los ejercicios, los ejemplos y el comentario de epístolas de Cicerón. Una característica del arte epistolar de Núñez consiste en el uso del romance, con mucha mayor profusión que en su obra retórica, donde prácticamente no existe. Por lo tanto pretendemos esclarecer las razones para este uso y su función en la enseñanza del arte epistolar en este autor.The epistolary art theory of Pedro Juan Nunez is printed on its Ratio breuis et expedita conscribendi genera epistolarum illustriora. In his manuscripts, however, devotes more attention and spread both the theory and models, exercises, examples and commentary on Cicero's epistles. A feature of the epistolary art of Núñez is the use of romance language, with much greater profusion than in his Rhetoric, which is almost nonexistent. Therefore we intend to clarify the reasons for this use and its role in teaching the art of letter writing in this author
