Luxury Perfusion in Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy

Abstract

Luxury perfusion is a vascular compensating response to ischemia which is commonly observed after brain or heart infraction. This phenomenon, which can be interpreted as a vascular autoregulatory mechanism occuring at the normal perfused tissue, has been also anecdotally reported following non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION)
