Este artículo pretende analizar los mecanismo utilizados para definir los límites normativos de los contaminantes en los vertimientos líquidos por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible en Colombia, de tal manera que se logre la eficacia en su cumplimiento mediante la mitigación de los impactos ambientales en la fuentes de agua, pero, igualmente, el desarrollo económico y social en la industria del sector cárnico, específicamente de carnes frías.This article tries to analyze the mecanismo used to define the normative limits of the pollutants in the liquid vertimientos for the Department of environment and Sustainable Development in Colombia, in such a way that the efficiency is achieved in his fulfillment by means of the mitigation of the environmental impacts in the water fuentes, but equally the economic and social development in the industry of the meat sector of cold meats
