CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN HOTEL INDUSTRY-BEST PRACTICES

Abstract

Tema ovog završenog rada je društveno odgovorno poslovanje u hotelijerstvu. U radu je objašnjen pojam društveno odgovornog poslovanja, razvoj društvenog poslovanja kroz povijest kako u Europi, tako i u Hrvatskoj. Prikazana su mjerila, dimenzije (interne i eksterne) i standardi društveno odgovornog poslovanja. Hotelijerstvo nudi mnogo primjera dobre prakse, a kroz rad su prikazani odabrani pozitivni primjeri europskih i hrvatskih hotelskih lanaca koji nam vjerno prikazuju kako brinuti o okolišu, zaposlenicima i lokalnoj zajednici i pritom biti vrlo uspješan.The topic of this essay is corporate social responsibility in the hotel industry. The essay explains the term of socially responsible business, the development of social business throughout history in Europe as well as in Croatia. The essay shows measurements, dimensions (internal and external) and standards of corporate social responsibility. The hotel industry offers many examples of good practice and through the essay are shown selected positive examples of European and Croatian hotel chains that faithfully show us how to take care of the environment, employees and the local community most effectively while being very successful in their business
