Böhme Metodu Yardımı İle Aşındırıcı Tozların Aşındırma Performanslarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

To compete in foreign or domestic markets with substitute materials, marble or the other dimensioned stones must be shaped with respect to desirable standards. In this respect, abrasives are important materials as shaping tools. In general terms, abrasives include natural or artificial substances that are used to remove solid materials by rubbing actions such as polishing, abrading, scouring or cleaning or by impact such as pressure blasting. The present paper focuses on implications of the composition and grain sizes of abrasives used in Bohme experiment in respect to abrasion loss due to the scratch. For this reason, several composition and grain dimension of abrasives are tested for different marbles. Result showed that the finding of Bohme experiment suggests that abrasive value changes depending upon the hardness and grain dimension of abrasive used; the abrasives with same hardness gives different values in the range of TS 699 criteria adopted and it is proposed that an abrasive has a constant chemical composition and grain dimension should be used in "the experiment of the abrasion loss resulting scratch"
