http://dx.doi.org/10.5902/2179460X15399An analysis has been made through bibliometric indicators in scientific articles, published up to the year of 2013 in electronic databases (Scopus and SciELO), scientific articles regarding the native palm trees in the state of Santa Catarina. The forms of approach were both quantitative and qualitative, and the procedure was bibliographic. 280 citations which were somehow addressed in their title, abstract or keywords (the scientific name and / or their synonyms) were analysed as they appear in the List of Species of the Brazilian Flora, where could be noticed the hegemony of one of the species. Euterpe edulis Mart. was the most mentioned, in both absolute number and study classes. The most significant class was the ecological use of these palm trees and 2011 was the year with the highest number of publications.Fez-se uma análise através de indicadores bibliométricos, em artigos científicos publicados até o ano de 2013 nas bases de dados eletrônicas, SciELO e Scopus, relacionados as palmeiras nativas do Estado de Santa Catarina. As formas de abordagens foram quantitativas e qualitativas, e o procedimento foi bibliográfico. Foram resgatadas 280 citações que de alguma forma foram abordadas no título, no resumo ou nas palavras-chave, pelo nome científico e/ou suas sinonímias, conforme constam na Lista das Espécies da Flora do Brasil. Pôde-se perceber a hegemonia de uma das espécies. Euterpe edulis Mart. foi a mais citada, tanto em quantidade absoluta quanto por classes de estudo. A classe mais significante foi a de uso ecológico e 2011 o ano com maior número de publicações
