Agência do corpo drag na desconstrução das acepções de corpo, gênero e sexo

Abstract

Drag queens have constantly appeared on television shows and in movies, have released their own songs and geared at their own rhythm. The emergence of the drag queen ever closer to the mainstream has provided greater visibility to these artists. This article is about how the drag body puts or not the body, gender and sexuality pattern in check. It starts from the reflections of theorists like Marcel Mauss (2003) and Judith Butler (2003) to think the body, as well as to think about its unnatural and socially constructed condition. Already Esteban Muñoz (1999) gives arguments about the hygiene that the drag body suffers to appear in the mainstream as a marketable product. The ethnographic research experiences in the city of Fortaleza - CE comes to help identify the poles and trends that the drag practice assumes in the city and in what way drags subvert or reiterate hegemonic social practices. The article concluded that drags are in a border territory of identification and desidentification with the norms, sometimes reiterating them and sometimes subverting them.As drag queens tem cada vez mais aparecido em programas de televisão e em filmes, tem lançado suas próprias músicas e engrenado seu próprio ritmo. O aparecimento da drag queen cada vez mais próximo dos mainstream tem proporcionado uma maior visibilidade a esses artistas. Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar de que forma o corpo drag coloca ou não em cheque os padrões de corpo, gênero e sexualidade. Parte das reflexões de teóricos como Marcel Mauss (2003) e Judith Butler (2003) para pensar o corpo, assim como para pensar sua condição não natural e socialmente construída. Já Esteban Muñoz (1999) concede argumentos sobre a higienização que o corpo drag sofre para aparecer no mainstream como um produto comercializável. As experiências de pesquisa etnográfica foram feitas na cidade de Fortaleza – CE vem para ajudar a identificar os polos e tendências que a prática drag assume na cidade e de que forma as drags subvertem ou reiteram as práticas sociais hegemônicas. O artigo concluiu que as drags estão em um território limítrofe de identificação e des-identificação constante com as normas, por vezes as reiterando e por vezes as subvertendo.&nbsp
