Unauthorized recording or photography is strictly prohibited.    Virginia (Jenna) Mangum is in her senior year studying violin under Carol Cole at Lynn Conservatory of Music at Lynn University. She was formerly a student of Cornelia Heard at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music, where she held the Myra Jackson Blair scholarship for six years. Virginia has received many awards and achievements which include: Soloist with Nashville Symphony Orchestral Institute (2014, 2015, 2018), Nashville Symphony Orchestra League Thor Johnson Scholarship Recipient (2015), and the Barbra Rothman Scholarship for excellent orchestral performance and outstanding academics (2018), and a full scholarship to the National Music Festival (Summer 2019). Virginia has many visions and goals for her future career, including pursuing a masters degree on her secondary instrument, viola, and starting a home studio for bigger musicians. Along with these, Virginia developed a reading system to assist her with learning music when she was diagnosed with severe dyslexia at age 14. It consists of color coding, shapes, and stacked numbers and letters to map out fingerings and note reading. Virginia hopes to bring awareness to musicians with disabilities, and one day publish her reading system. Virginia is very involved with teaching children music, and held the internship at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of music for the Nashville Suzuki Institute over the summer. She also is the primary violin teacher at OnStage Studio in Boca Raton where she gives weekly lessons to beginning students on both violin and piano. Other than classical music, Virginia has a passion for the arts, and has frequently been in the cast or crew for Musical Theater. She also enjoys ballroom dancing, sewing, journaling, and running 5k races. Virginia is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, and performs in the middle Tennessee area with her five siblings. This coming summer, Virginia plans on traveling to Poland with her soon to be husband for Forest Hill Baptist Church’s “Mission Engagement”. There they will perform in the choir and chamber orchestra to witness the Word of God through music. Virginia would like to thank her parents for starting her on the path of music, and putting up with years of one-on-one violin practice, encouraging her to follow her love of music as her career, and supporting her all the way through college. She would also like to that her teacher, Carol Cole, for being the most amazing, caring, and encouraging teacher ever.   Praised for her “admirable technical finesse and expressive flair” (Baltimore Sun), pianist Sheng-Yuan Kuan has garnered enthusiastic receptions for her solo and chamber music performances at the Kennedy Center, Weill Recital Hall, Taiwan National Concert Hall, Musikverein in Vienna, and various music festivals and concert series throughout the US. Sheng-Yuan’s collaborations with renowned musicians such as Nobuko Imai, Stefan Jackiw, Stephen Taylor, Espen Lilleslatten, Richard Stolzman, Keng-Yuen Tseng, Chad Hoopes, members of the Parker Quartet and Apollo Trio, Sir Angel Romero, Time for Three, and Latin Grammy Award winning flautist Nestor Torres, reflect her passion in making chamber music of eclectic styles. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Sheng-Yuan relocated to America to further her music education. She holds a D.M.A. degree from the Peabody Conservatory, M.M. degree from Yale School of Music, and B.M. degree from the Manhattan School of Music, studying with famous pedagogues like Boris Slutsky, Peter Frankl, Scott McCarrey and Constance Keene. She obtained awards at competitions worldwide, including the 13th Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna (Best Female Pianist Award, 2009), the 12th Taipei Chopin International Piano Competition (3rd Prize, 2008), Corpus Christi International Competition in Texas (2nd Prize, 2008), New York Kosciuszko Chopin Piano Competition (3rd Prize, 2003), and BYU-Hawaii Concerto Competition (Winner, 2000). She was also the recipient of Honolulu Morning Music Club Scholarship, Peabody Institute of Music's Career Development Grant, Chamber Music Award and Accompanying Assistantship. Currently a resident in south Florida, Sheng-Yuan performs regularly as a member of A's Duo, Con Brio Ensemble, Scherzo Trio, Trio Rodin, and South Florida Chamber Ensemble. She serves as piano faculty at the Heifetz International Music Institute as well as staff collaborative pianist and adjunct keyboard instructor at Lynn University Conservatory of Music in Boca Raton, FL.
