The team’s research is focused on enablingrobots to learn from motion patterns. They can be taught to handle items based onfeedback associated with the actions of reaching and grasping. Their findings canpotentially lead to applications that meet a wide range of human needs, fromtherapeutic robots for people with disabilities to addressing developmental delays inchildren. The team comprises Itamar Arel, associate professor of electricalengineering and computer science; Daniela Corbetta, professor of psychology;Bruce MacLennan, associate professor of electrical engineering and computerscience; Lynne Parker, professor of electrical engineering and computer science;and Greg Reynolds, associate professor of psychology.
