he purpose of this study was to develop a process model for the maintenance management of school buildings. The proposed model was developed in a three-phase process: the information gathering phase using questionnaires, interviews and document analysis; the model development phase using the IDEF0 process modelling technique; and the experts' verification phase by three school maintenance experts. The potential usefulness of the model was tested on 61 school managers.
