Problem zachowania tajemnicy lekarskiej w ostatnim czasie stał się powodem do dyskusji za sprawą wyroku Trybunału Konstytucyjnego z dnia 30 lipca 2014 r. W orzeczeniu dotyczącym ochrony tajemnicy lekarskiej Trybunał podkreślił jej szczególną wagę i wskazał, że ograniczenie tajemnicy lekarskiej w drodze zapisów ustawowych może naruszać konstytucyjne prawo do prywatności, wolność komunikacji i autonomię informacyjną jednostki.Recently, the Constitutional Court’s judgment dated 30th of July 2014 concerning problem of medical confidentiality has become a reason for discussion. In a judgment concerning the protection of medical secrecy, the Court pointed out the particular importance of medical secrecy and indicated that limiting medical secrecy in the statutory provisions may lead to violations of constitutional rights such as privacy, freedom of communication and informational autonomy of the each individual person
