Evidence of asymmetric interdependencies in human EEG under anaesthesia with Propofol

Abstract

Item does not contain fulltextThe EEG may be regarded as a signal that reflects the activity of a dynamical system (the brain) To obtain information about the physiological processes involved in its generation new non linear mathematical methods of time series analysis have been developed to overcome the problems found in earlier studies. Moreover, the dynamical system approach can be used to analyze the inter-hemispheric differences in different behavioral states by means of multichannel recordings. The present work aims at applying the method of non-linear interdependencies to analyze the EEG during anesthesia induction with propofol in humans
