El convento de Santa María la Real de Nieva (Segovia) es una fundación de la reina Catalina de Lancaster. La portada de la iglesia y el claustro son dos de los referentes más importantes de la escultura gótica castellana del siglo XV. En este artículo analizamos algunas de las imágenes de los capiteles del claustro en relación con los usos y significados del propio espacio, entre las que cabe destacar algunas alegorías de las artes liberales y un ciclo de los meses del año.The convent of Santa María la Real of Nieva (Segovia) was founded by Queen Catherine of Lancaster. The gate of the church and the cloister are two of the greatest exponents of the Spanish Gothic sculpture in the fifteenth century. In this paper we analyze some of the images of the capitals of the cloister in relation with its uses and meanings, among which stand out some allegories of the liberal arts and a cycle of the months of the year
