Abstract
The Objective of this paper is to present the debate around the book A Theory of Justice, by the American philosopher John Rawls. Th e article is divided into two parts. In the first one, I expose the general lines of Rawls’ thesis in order to establish the concepts that are analyzed in the second part, in which I reconstruct Harsanyi’s criticism to Rawls’ contractual procedure, specially the Original Position, and I consider the answers and refusals to this criticismO objetivo deste trabalho é expor parte do debate em torno do livro Uma Teoria da Justiça, do filósofo americano John Rawls. Eu dividirei este artigo em dois momentos. No primeiro, exponho em linhas gerais a tese de Rawls, de forma a situar os conceitos que serão analisados na segunda parte. Nesta remonto a crítica de Harsanyi ao procedimento contratual de Rawls, em especial à Posição Original, e considero as respostas e refutações a esta crític
