I t w a s t h e i n t e n t i o n of t h e a u t h o r to p r o v e t h a t t h e p l a n t b e a r i n g b e d s w e r e a t l e a s t U p p e r D e v o n i a n , a f a c t s u g g e s t e d b y s t r u c t u r a l e v i d e n c e . H e f a i l e d , h o w e v e r , to i n d i c a t e t h e p o s s i b i l i t y of a n e v e n y o u n g e r a g e . S i n c e a f i n a l a c c o u n t of t h e a u t h o r ' s w o r k in the a r e a i s s t i l l n o t r e a d y f o r p u b l i c a t i o n , i t i s t h e p u r p o s e of t h i s n o t e to a c k n o w l e d g e t h e r e s u l t s of t h e r e - e x a m i n a t i o n . If t h i s s h o u l d p r o v e to b e t h e c a s e , i t w o u l d n o t b e w i t h o u t i n t e r e s t s i n c e i t w o u l d t e n d to b r i d g e t h e g a p b e t w e e n t h e P e r r y F o r m a t i o n a n d t h e U p p e r C a r b o n i f e r o u s p l a n t b e d s a t S a i n t J o h n .
