Les dynamiques de l’internationalisation economique – entre le deficit d’attractivite locale et l’evolution contrastee des activites

Abstract

The dynamics of the economical internationalisation – between local attractivity deficit and contrasting activities evolution. The shift and share analysis may seem quite simple and common, but is actually an ingenious and somehow deep theoretical model, able to provide some strong insights regarding the economic landscape. Based on a sample database including the location of foreign enterprises in Romania for the transition period (1991-2004), we have applied this theoretical approach in order to emphasize the linkage and the tension between local attractiveness and economic branch dynamics, showing that the globalization of the Romanian territory is far from being complete and spatial homogenous.
