THE SYNERGISTIC MODEL OF QUALITY SERVICE DESIGN OF GREEN OPEN SPACE ASSET THROUGH QFD

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present the expect of public to characteristics of open green space public asset service design, and the effort of providers appropriate public expectations. The study was applied quantitative approach and descriptive method. The case was taken Green Open Space in Bandung City. The model applied is the Quality Function Deployment (QFD). The characteristics of public expectation traced through Focus Group Discussion and questionnaires. The findings show that the public expect City-open green space becomes the identity of the city, the natural environment is maintained, freshen the air, reducing the pool of water, limited plant production, supporting the improvement of the climate, contribute to waste management, water conservation, enhance the environment, support birds habitat, reduce public stress, and increase tourism industry. While the providers effort have to design the minimum standard of City-open green space, preserve green space, the trees that limited produce, reduce heat, beautiful trees, the trees that can be birds inhabited, green space comfortable and safe for public
