The Associated Students of the University of Montana 1 Resolution to Update House Rules 2 Date:  3 SB 22B-17/18 4 Authored by: Bailey Carpenter, ASUM Senator; Michael Toppen, ASUM Senator 5 Sponsored by: 6   7  8 Whereas, The current order of the agenda has not allowed a space for discussion regarding time-sensitive 9 issues or issues that arise during the meeting; 10  11 Whereas, The current order of the agenda does not provide an opportunity for Senators to seek input from 12 the entire body regarding issues that arise on campus prior to a resolution being presented;  13  14 Therefore, Let it Be Resolved, That a new section be added to the Senate agenda between “Committee 15 Updates” and “Unfinished Business” titled “Campus Affairs”;  16   17 Therefore, Let it Be Further Resolved, That the intended purpose of this new section is to provide a time 18 for the Senate to discuss as a body issues that have not been written as resolutions;  19  20 Therefore, Let It Be Further Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be sent to Megan Stark, Advisor to 21 the Associated Students of the University of Montana; John DeBoer, Advisor to the Associated Students 22 of the University of Montana. 23  24  25  26   27 Passed by Committee: ___________________________ _, 2017 28   29 Passed by ASUM Senate: __________________________, 2017 30   31   32   33   34 ________________________                     ______________________________ 35 Connor Fitzpatrick,                               Brenna Love, 36 Relations and Affairs Chair                      Chair of the Senate 37  38
