The Implementation of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) to Improve Students’ Ability In Writing Narrative Text

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out whether or not the implementation of TBLT improves the students’ ability in writing narrative text. The method used was quasi-experimental research design involving two groups; experimental group and control group. The sample consisted of 33 students in experiment group and 33 students in control group. This research applied TBLT as tool to improve the students’ ability in writing narrative text. The researcher employed writing test to measure the effects of the treatment. The data obtained through writing test and were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS Version 20 while data on questionnaire were analyzed by using Likert Scale.
