Apple I was developed for personal use. It was Wozniak’s friend Steve Jobs’s idea to sell the computer.
At the regular meetings of the "Homebrew Computer Club" Jobs and Wozniak staged the presentation of the computer. However, even in such an attractive presentation of the proposal interest in buying Apple I showed only one person. It appeared to Paul Terrell, the owner of a computer store Byte, recently opened at the Camino Real, Menlo Park.
