Penanganan Kenakalan Remaja: Kajian Terhadap Siswa SMPN 3 Tulung Klaten

Abstract

This studi aims to (1) describe the forms of juvenile delinquency among students in Secondary School, (2) describe causal factors of juvenile delinquency among students in Secondary School, (3) describe ways of handling of juvenile delinquency among students in Secondary School, (4) describe obstacles that inhibit the handling of juvenile delinquency among students in Secondary School. This research methods using qualitative descriptive, and research design using phenomenological approach. This study took the location in SMPN 3 Tulung Klaten. The research subjects were the principal, teachers and students. Methods of data collection in-depth interviews, observation and documentation, data analysis techniques using interactive analysis. Results of this study (1) Forms of juvenile delinquency: stealing, misusing cash, sexual harassment, pornography, smoking and drinking alcohol. (2) The causes of delinquency are internal factors of students (family, relationships, school environment and the impact of electronic media) and external factors. (3) How to handle juvenile delinquency: (a) Summoning of Parents Stage II and Suspension for 3 days; (b) Summoning of Parents Stage III and Suspension for 6 days; (c) Students are returned to the Parents. As an effort to follow up the handling of delinquency cases, the school also provides special guidance through BK teachers both individual and group guidance. (4) Constraints that hinder the handling are students personality, the lack of openness and proactivity of the family, and the lack of environmental conditions around the school
