Abstract

Ovaj će se rad baviti temom utjecaja genetskih predispozicija na školski uspjeh i ako utječu, na koji način te u kolikoj mjeri. Kroz poglavlja o genetici, inteligenciji te genetskim predispozicijama za školski uspjeh, ovaj će rad primjerima iz literarnih izvora, internetskih novinskih članaka, intervjua s liječnicom i rezultata ankete provedene na učenicima 3. razreda pružiti čitatelju korisne, relevantne i pouzdane informacije o nekoliko različith stajališta i teorija o ovoj temi. Aktualna rasprava o ovoj određenoj problematici u svijetu znanosti i medija još uvijek nema određen ishod, stoga je cilj ovoga rada iznijeti dokazane informacije na temelju mnogih istraživanja i omogućiti čitatelju da sam za sebe prosudi koje stajalište vrijedi zastupati.This paper will cover the topic whether genetic predispositions affect school success, and if they do, in what way and how much. Through chapters about genetics, intelligence and genetic predispositions for school success, this paper will, with the help of literary sources, online newspaper articles, interview with a doctor and the results of grade 3 pupils' survey, provide the reader with useful, relevant and reliable information about a few different standpoints and theories about this topic. The actual discussion about this particular topic in the world of science and media still doesn't have a certain outcome, so the objective of this paper is to present viable evidence based on many strands of research and to enable the reader to decide for him/herself what views to represent
