Correlation of Art classes with other elementary school education classes within the integrated day

Abstract

Integriranim poučavanjem potrebno je potaknuti učeničku motiviranost, želju za radom i istraživanjem. Likovna kultura, kao jedan od predmeta u nastavi, utječe na razvoj dječje mašte i kreativnosti. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je utvrditi na koji način korelirati Likovnu kulturu s ostalim predmetima razredne nastave u okviru integriranog dana, što učitelji misle o korelaciji Likovne kulture s ostalim predmetima, no i njihovo mišljenje o integriranom poučavanju. Također, istraživanjem se htjelo utvrditi što učenici misle o integriranom poučavanju i likovnoj aktivnosti kao dijelu integriranog dana. Istraživanje je provedeno u Osnovnoj školi ˝Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić˝ Slavonski Brod. Uzorak čini 50 učitelja iz cijele Hrvatske te 83 učenika prvog, drugog, trećeg i četvrtog razreda. Nakon održanih integriranih dana, provedena je analiza učeničkih anketa i likovnih radova. U anketama je potvrđen pozitivan stav učitelja prema korelaciji Likovne kulture s ostalim predmetima, ali i integriranom poučavanju. Također, potvrđen je i pozitivan stav učenika prema likovnoj aktivnosti, ali i sveukupnom integriranom danu.Integrated teaching is necessary for developing pupil's motivation, interest in work and research. Art as the subject of teaching affects the development of children's imagination and creativity. The aim of this reserach is to establish the correlation of Art Class with other elementary education classes during integrated day in school, teachers' opinion on Art Class correlation, and teachers' opinion on integrated teaching in general. Additionally, this research is concerned with pupils' opinion on integrated teaching, and Art Class as a part of integrated day. The research is conducted in Elementary School of Ivana Brlić – Mažuranić in Slavonski Brod. The sample consisted of 50 teachers from all parts of Croatia, and 83 pupils who were attending first, second, third and fourth grade. The analysis of pupils' questionnares and art works is conducted after integrated days. Questionnares indicated teachers' positive attitude toward Art Class correlation with other classes, also integrated teaching in general. Likewise, pupils have positive attitude toward Art Class correlation, and integrated teaching in general
