Abstract
Stress is a very common term that is present in our lives, not just in adults but also in children. The state of stress in both adults and children is recognized on the basis of emotional reactions, thought responses, body reactions, and behavior of an individual. The originator of stress research is Hans Selye who defined it as a reaction of the organism to different stressors. The term stress was used even before the emergence of science. In the 14th century it is referred to as difficulties, ailments or unlucky circumstances, while in the 19th century stress is referred to as the cause of the disease. I have chosen this topic because the notion of stress today is well known to everyone and is present in all areas of human life. The aim of this final work is to get familiar with the term of stress and its impact on the physical health of children
