Abstract

Pubertet je vrijeme kada se počinjete mijenjati od djeteta do mlade odrasle osobe. Glavni hormoni tijekom puberteta su testosteron za dječake te estrogen i progesteron za djevojčice. Tijekom puberteta jajnici kod djevojčica postaju veći i tijelo djevojčica će početi proizvoditi dva hormona - estrogen i progesteron. Estrogen uzrokuje rast dojki kod djevojaka i pomaže im u razvoju vagine, uterusa i jajovodne cijevi. Također, kod djevojaka povećava jačinu i mijenja način na koji se masno tkivo pohranjuju na djevojčinom tijelu, čineći struk, bokove i stražnjicu izraženijima.
