Mapping the building II

Abstract

Exhibition of student work made in the scale 1:1 studio "Barb24 Installatie" part of the framework of the pre-AOB ‘Cureren als Leervorm’ & OPAK project “Substantiating Spatial Affect". The former Bacteriologic institute (currently BAC institute) was the laboratory for the Substantiating Affect project. The building proved to be an interesting spatial context and historically valuable building. Because of planned transformations a typical historic study/inventory is made. We consider this exercise a case to explore a complementary approach to map (identify, frame or enhance) more ephemeral, atmospheric or poetic spatial qualities of the building.
