Religious and Poetical Consciousness: a Study of Interdependence Between the Question of Sacred and Ethics

Abstract

Glavni fokus jeste na Wrightovoj duhovnoj biografi ji (pošto je bio adventista u svojim mladim danima) i njegovih kasnijih ličnih etičkih i političkih stavova tokom borbe za prava crnaca u SAD.Th is essay in the examples of seemingly disparate writers, such as Miroslav Krleža, Herman Hesse, and Richard Wright, fi nds the common ground for analysis of the interconetions between the issues of sacred as religious term and sacred as an inner ethical feeling of supposedly secular writers. Th e main focus is upon Wright’s spiritual biography (having been an SDA member in his early days) and his later personal ethical and political views during the struggle for the rights of the blacks in the USA
