Abstract
This research empirically considers the linguistic variation in the use of verb agreement (CV) in the third person plural or P6, in order to measure by observing the linguistic performance of Brazilian speakers in Vitória da Conquista - BA, if the application of the rule of agreement is a phenomenon of stable variation or change in course. Considering the corpus of PPVC - Popular Portuguese from Vitoria da Conquista – BA, we analyzed some groups of linguistic and social variations in order to know the factors that are conditioning the level of 17,2 % of application of verbal agreement in P6 in the speech of speakers from this community.KEYWORDS: Sociolinguistic. Vitória da Conquista.Este estudo considera empiricamente a variação linguística no uso da concordância verbal (CV) na terceira pessoa do plural ou P6, buscando aferir, pela observação do desempenho linguístico de falantes do português popular de Vitória da Conquista - BA, se a aplicação da regra de concordância constitui um fenômeno de variação estável ou mudança em curso. Tomando o corpus do PPVC - Português Popular de Vitória da Conquista, foram analisados alguns grupos de variáveis linguísticas e sociais objetivando mensurar quais fatores estariam condicionando o índice de 17,2% de aplicação da CV em P6 pelos indivíduos desta comunidade.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Sociolinguística.
