Abstract
Each education system endeavors to meet the needs and expectations of the society by its instruction and
educating activity. Additionally vocational training is in this respect in a special situation, since it has not only
to correspond to the general social request, but also the concrete requests on the workstations. It is forced to
respond to ever faster modifications. Vocational training cannot prepare students for future by merely
transmitting special knowledge any more. It should enable students to take up developments of future. In this
sense contents conveyed today are actually of secondary importance as compared with the abilities for learning.
The qualification for learning and for the appropriation of knowledge moves into foreground. In this paper we
demonstrate the key qualifications concept
