This study examines whether a teacher's classroom behavior, students' responses to this behavior and the learning environment in two of his/her classes differ. The 40 students in the two classes of a voluntary teacher who worked in the English Preparatory School at Erciyes University constituted the sample of the study. The "Classroom Management Questionnaire" was developed by the researcher and piloted for reliability. The examiner also visited the two classes to gather information through observation. The data obtained were analysed using t-test and content analysis. The data pointed out that the teacher's classroom behavior and the learning environment differed in the two classes. Although the t-test indicated no difference between the two groups in terms of the students' behavior, the observation data showed that there were some differences between the two groups in certain aspects of their behavior. Last of all, the findings of the study were discussed in the light of the related literature and some suggestions were made.Bu çalışmada, öğretmenin sınıfiçi davranışlarının, bu davranışlara öğrencilerin verdiği karşılıkların ve oluşan öğrenme ortamının, öğretmenin derse girdiği iki farklı sınıfta farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Erciyes Üniversitesi Hazırlık Sınıfı'nda çalışan ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılan İngilizce okutmanının dersine girdiği iki gruptaki 40 öğrenci, araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılan "Sınıf Yönetim Anketi" araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş ve geçerliliği denenmiştir. Ayrıca, araştırmacı sınıfları ziyaret ederek, gözlem yoluyla veri toplamaya çalışmıştır. Toplanan veriler, t-testi ve içerik çözümlemesi yoluyla incelenmiştir. Bulgular, öğretmen davranışlarının ve öğrenme ortamının iki sınıfta anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığını göstermiştir. Yapılan t-testi, öğrenci davranışlarının, iki grupta farklılaştığına işaret etmemekle beraber, gözlem yoluyla elde edilen bulgular, bazı öğrenci davranışlarında önemli farklılıkların olduğunu göstermiştir. Son olarak, bulgular literatür eşliğinde tartışılmış ve bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur
